One of my favorite lesser-known features of SugarCRM is the “View
Summary” command on the History subpanel used through SugarCRM.
The SugarCRM History subpanel shows all notes, emails, and completed activities (calls, meetings, tasks) related to a record, such as a Contact or Account.
Let’s say that you are getting ready to call a Contact who you haven’t talked with in a while. Before making the call, you want to review the history of your past interactions so that you can remember all the details of your past conversations and emails.
Opening each history item one by one gets old quickly, but the
subject lines don’t always have enough information to differentiate
which items you should review and which can be skipped. The solution?
View Summary!
Use the down arrow on the action button to access additional commands for the subpanel, and select View Summary from the list.
A pop-up window will display each history item, with all of its
information, one after another. You can quickly review all of the email
messages and notes without having to click and open each one
individually. After a minute or two of skimming and re-reading important
notes, you will be ready to call your customer.
