Infor CRM V8.2 Picklist Defect, and How to Fix it!

If you have the new or upgraded Infor CRM 8.2.0 database, you may have noticed that adding & editing picklists causes an error. This is a defect in the system. The good news is, there’s a workaround – but don’t try this at home, kids! The procedure requires knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and/or Transact SQL, so if you’re not a database administrator, pass this along to someone who is so they can properly implement the changes. They’ll need to back up all systems and application databases before making any changes to the tables, just to be safe.

Here are the steps for the workaround:

  1. Open the SITEKEYS table
  2. Locate the row where SITEKEYS.KeyType is 30
  3. Increment the SITEKEYS.KeyValue value for that column so it is higher than the maximum value in the PICKLIST.ItemID
    • Ex: if the current value in PICKLIST.ItemID is A00014O increment SITEKEYS.KeyValue to A00114O

And voila! You should now be able to add and edit picklists. If you’re still running into problems, contact your next level of Infor CRM customer support. Good luck!
