Yesterday, our SugarCRM experts (Megan & Justin) held Technology Advisors' second bi-monthly User Group discussion, this time focusing on SugarCRM Process Author (or Advanced Workflow). Unlike a webinar, these online user groups are more casual, and they let participants ask questions and engage in a conversation about the product.
We see a lot of our customers struggling with Process Author/Advanced Workflow, so we felt this topic was important to address. During yesterday's discussion, Megan and Justin recapped our Chicago Sugar Workshop event and then went on to explain the purpose and uses of Workflow. To illustrate how Process Author functions, Megan built an Advanced Workflow while explaining each step to the audience. Attendees asked their questions throughout and gained clarifications on how to initiate their own Workflows.
We also discussed SierraCRM, an alternative Workflow solution for those who aren't ready to transition to Sugar Enterprise (you must have Enterprise to access Workflows). SierraCRM is an add-on product that allows users to create Workflows within their SugarCRM without having to upgrade. It enables lead & contract management, sales process automation, proactive emailing, and more. If you're interested in learning more about SierraCRM, fill out the form on the page and we will reach out to you with a free trial.

In October, we'll hold another User Group on Version 7 Sidecar vs. Backwards Capability. Then, join us in December to talk about the Outlook plugin with Sidebar, which enables a window into your CRM directly from your Outlook email (pretty nifty!). To learn more about our upcoming User Group sessions, please visit this page. If you have a topic you'd like to discuss during a future SugarCRM User Group, please email me at marketing@techadv.com. We love your feedback and ideas!
